I first got introduced to VICE Cosmetics during the time the VICE x Bang collab was released. I didn’t really have any expectations because it was positioned as a mass market brand… meaning, it’s very cheap. Crazy cheap, like you can get products for as low as P100+.
So far, VICE Cosmetics has released an array of lip and cheek products. The cheek products can double as eye shadow. They also have highlighters and contour powders. The latest addition to Vice Cosmetics’ growing product lines is foundation… specifically VICE Duo Finish Foundation (P245).
VICE Duo Finish Foundation comes in 8 shades, virtually guaranteeing there’s a shade for every type of Pinay.
VICE Duo Finish Foundation comes in a sleek metallic compact with a mirror and applicator sponge. They are priced at P245 each.
Here are swatches of all the foundation shades. I attended the launch event and I was told my shade is Tisay. I guessed as much when I saw the product display.
So here are swatches of Tisay for dry and wet applications. Dry application yields a more sheer finish. Wet application gives heavier coverage. For both applications, the finish is matte.
So here’s Tisay, applied with a wet sponge.
This is how it looks under natural light.
What I like about VICE Duo Finish Foundation:
- It’s cruelty-free, paraben-free, and vegan.
- Wow, it’s formulated in the US!
- Super affordable at P245 per shade.
- It’s good for people with oily skin. The product’s ability to control oil is insane. Skin stays matte even in warm weather.
- It’s buildable. Use it dry for sheer coverage, use it wet for heavier coverage.
- Comparable with American drugstore brands like Maybelline.
- There’s a full range of shades for everyone.
Downside? Using it dry causes a lot of powder fallout. I also find the formula too matte. I have relatively normal skin, not dry and not oily. This is a tad drying for me.
The VICE Duo Finish Foundation is available for P245 each at Watsons and SM Department Store. You can also go on over to the Vice flagship store at Market!
