Singapore Airlines Review

Singapore Airlines Review

The last time we flew to Singapore was back in 2015. We took Cebu Pacific Air and it cost something like ₱9,000+ per person. When I successfully bought Eras Tour concert tickets last year, I immediately booked a Singapore Airlines flight and paid via Paypal. It was so awesome of them to accept Paypal as I had US dollars there which I could not withdraw without converting to peso. I had flown with them a few times in the past (before I was married) and it has always been a good experience for me. Risking flight cancellation or rescheduling with budget airlines was simply not an option. Our flight cost US$495 per head which was a lot more expensive than normal due to the concert.

singapore_airlines2Singapore Airlines’ personal screen seemed newer and more state-of-the-art compared to the last two airlines we flew with — EVA Air and Thai Airways. You can even log on to your Krisflyer account via this screen and avail of free wifi connection aboard the plane. I was actually chatting with friends via messenger the entire time thanks to the free internet access.

singapore_airlines3Since we boarded the 7am flight, we were served breakfast. I opted for baked beans, ham, and egg with veggies on the side and I liked it. There was a roll too, but I ate it already when I remembered I wanted to take a photo lol.

singapore_airlines4Singapore Airlines obviously takes inflight entertainment seriously because all the nice new movies we wanted to watch were there — Barbie, Oppenheimer, Wonka, The Hunger Games, and so forth. I was mostly sleeping and using the wifi for social media and chatting with friends though.

Even though our flight had a 10-minute delay during takeoff due to a queue on the runway, we still arrived in Singapore ahead of schedule (10:45am). Everything was just so efficient and hassle-free. The flight was smooth too.

I don’t know if it’s my age but I just don’t have the time and patience for cheap prices + substandard service anymore. Will I book this airline again? If I’m going to Singapore, yes. I haven’t checked their other destinations but I am willing to if their flight schedules are good.
