When I first started my weight loss journey late last year, diet was not a part of it. I was under the impression that if I burned off enough calories by going to the gym religiously, I could still eat the same way. I learned the hard way (think gym from 6:15am to 8am 5x a week) that you cannot eat as desired and rely solely on gym time to burn off everything. Don’t get me wrong. Exercise is good and it helps you stay fit but your metabolism can only accommodate so much. Obviously, the next step was for me to overhaul my eating habits.
I kept a food diary and listed down every single thing I ate. I tried my best to limit myself to 1500 calories a day, lower if I could manage. I would read the nutrition facts of the food and drink I would take in — if it was available, or I’d research online so I could estimate the number of calories. I did it manually. I wrote down everything with a pen in a notebook. But here’s the thing — now you can easily keep a food journal to ensure that you stick to your healthy eating program just by using the NESTLÉ FITNESSE 14-Day Journal Facebook App. You will have to like the NESTLÉ FITNESSE Philippines Facebook Page first so you can access the app.
Anyhow, upon starting the app, you will be asked to register with your personal information.
You will need to state your fitness goal plan and upload an avatar before you can get started. Hannah, Shen, and I will be there to show you the delicious balanced meals you can prepare while you’re going through the NESTLÉ FITNESSE 14-Day Program.
Let’s say you’re planning for Day 1. This journal assumes that you will replace breakfast and dinner with the prescribed 30g of Nestle Fitnesse and 1/2 cup of low fat milk along with fresh fruits and veggies. You choose the meal you like best from the left sidebar for the meal of your choice (you can drag the meal to change it to breakfast or dinner) since you’re supposed to have one balanced meal each day.
After choosing a meal, the recipe for it is revealed! I’m so excited to try each one at home. Who says healthy can’t be yummy? 😀
This app effectively helps you plan and keep track of what you eat everyday. You can download your journal so you have an offline copy which you can print or view even when not connected to the net. It’s really so much more convenient when you use the app in conjunction with the program.
Did you know that there are five (5) variants of Nestle Fitnesse to choose from? There’s regular NESTLÉ FITNESSE, NESTLÉ FITNESSE and Fruit, NESTLÉ FITNESSE Honey & Almonds, and two kinds of NESTLÉ FITNESSE Clusters. NESTLÉ FITNESSE 180g retails for a very reasonable P99 and is available at all leading supermarkets nationwide.
Just to recap, I started at around 160 lbs. when I decided that I did not want to be obese anymore. I did a combination of activities which led to an initial loss of 15 lbs. There was already a noticeable difference that could be seen on my face after I lost that weight, but I was still not at my ideal weight. Weighing myself at the doctor’s office a couple of weeks ago revealed that I had lost another 9lbs. That said, I highly encourage you to try the NESTLÉ FITNESSE 14-Day program with the accompanying Facebook app and be on your way to a healthier lifestyle.
Whenever I’m tempted to stray from the path towards reaching my ideal weight, I just dig up photos of myself during my overweight days to keep me focused. I’ve come this far and I’m not going back. Fourteen days may be over but staying fit and healthy is a lifetime commitment.
