Hermanos Taco Shop Authentic Mexican Food

We had a late dinner/early midnight snack at Hermanos Taco Shop with some friends some time ago. Tucked away on one side of Granada Ave., Hermanos Taco Shop’s claim to fame is serving authentic Mexican food — and having been to Mexico, I agree.

Nacho chips piled high are topped with pieces of roasted beef, diced tomatoes, jalapenos, and sour cream. It comes with some tomato salsa on the side for dipping too. It’s very good and great for sharing.

Like the Carne Asada Chips, the main filling was little cubes of roasted beef. The taco shell is soft and chewy too. I remember having a taco at Ensenada, Mexico with my dad more than a decade ago. It was similar to this one. They did not use ground meat, rather they diced the beef into cubes and prepared the taco right in front of me. They used soft and chewy shells too, not at all the crunchy type that we’re more used to.

Hermanos Taco Shop Quezon City ReviewI also got some Rolled Tacos in Beef and Chicken (P285 for 6 pieces, pictured above) for the kids. Rolled tacos are reminiscent of lumpiang shanghai in the sense that a crisp outer covering is filled with ground meat inside (in this case either beef or chicken). The whole row of rolled tacos is then drizzled with cheese sauce and then topped with shredded lettuce, sour cream, and tomato salsa.

This is how the rolled taco looks after you take a bite. This one is filled with chicken.

The place is small but brightly lit, and it’s located next to a gas station along Granada Ave. The food is authentic albeit a bit pricey considering the serving sizes.
