Did you go to the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale last year? I did… on their second to the last day. I remember going to World Trade Center with my hubby at 6am, not really knowing what to expect. All I knew was there was going to be a lot of cheap books. It was a pretty painless experience for us. It wasn’t crowded and we were able to pay for our purchases immediately. We were done by 7am I think.
Anyway, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is back for 2019 and it’s going to be on February 22 until March 4, 2019 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. In case this is the first time you’re reading about the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, it’s a 24-hour book sale with 2 million books sold at 50% to 90% off the SRP.
They’ve got everything from children’s books, fiction, non-fiction, flash cards, reference books, and even boxed sets. This year, they’re bringing in even more children’s books.
I got a preview yesterday and wow, I can’t wait for the main event. I love that Big Bad Wolf Book Sale also donated P5 million to Gawad Kalinga last year. This is in an effort to support Gawad Kalinga’s initiatives in building homes to end poverty. They also donated books to build reading corners for Gawad Kalinga families.
For example, this Paw Patrol tin box with books and activities inside would make a great gift. It’s only P390, very affordable. I’ll definitely try to do advanced Christmas shopping at the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale.
They will also be offering AR (Augmented Reality) books for P290 each. Big Bad Wolf is the exclusive seller of Little Hippo AR books. What is an AR book? It’s a book you can view from your portable gadget (cellphone or tablet) via an app which will allow you to see everything in 3D. It’s super awesome!
What I’ve seen yesterday is not even a tenth of the selection at the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale. I’m so excited!
By the way, I scored some VIP Passes to the exclusive invite-only media preview on Feb. 21, 2019 at the World Trade Center. I will be giving one (1) VIP Pass away to one lucky reader via Instagram. Please follow @animetric on Instagram and stay tuned for the mechanics.
