Tis the season to buy Althea Boxes. I should know because I hit an all time high — I bought three (3) Althea boxes in 1 week!!! I swear I’m so addicted. The first one is the Althea Beauty Tool Box. It had been out of stock for the longest time so imagine my surprise when I saw it was AVAILABLE. I hit the buy button without thinking because I had been eyeing the Pobling Mini Ion Applicator included in the box for some time now. More on that in a bit.
As always, I got my Althea Beauty Tool Box five (5) days after I placed my order. It came in a Christmas-themed Box. I’m really feeling the season now lol. Anyway let’s take a look at what’s inside…
First we have the B&Soap Black Block Charcoal Soap. It’s handmade and it promises clean out your pores. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited my 13-year old daughter is about this product. She’s having blackhead problems so she usually takes all of the pore stuff in my Althea boxes. This is sold as a set with the B&Soap Pore Cleansing Brush at Althea for P310. They recommended slicing this soap into smaller pieces so you can get more use out of it.
I was surprised to find a makeup product in the Althea Beauty Tool Box. This is the It’s Top Professional Touch Finish Correcting Foundation from It’s Skin.
It comes in Shade 23, a light medium shade that suits most Asians. I’ll try this on my face one of these days.
Then there’s the COC Lovely Pink Heart Multi Volume Brush. It sells for P210 at Althea. You can use it for face powder, blush, highlighter, and contour. I love how soft it is!
This is the reason why I bought this box — the Pobling Mini Ion Applicator. It sells for P880 at Althea. You pop in an AAA battery and it vibrates upon contact with your skin.
You use the tip to scoop out face products from a jar (ex: eye cream or night cream). Then you apply on your face as the wand vibrates. It massages your skin so the skincare products are absorbed better. The micro-frequency delivers the skincare products’ active ingredients with double efficacy. I tried applying my eye cream with this last night and this morning. My undereye area feels incredibly smooth and firm. I really do find that there is a difference versus applying my eye cream with my finger. I have a video of me using this HERE. The eye I massaged for a longer time in the video had visibly lighter dark circles in the morning.
This is the COC Pro Skin-Adhering Foundation Brush. This sells for P180 at Althea. I thought it was big, kind of like a back scrubber but it turned out to be cute-sized! I tried using it with my Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Foundation and I thought it worked quite well.
These are It’s My Magic Sponge and B&Soap Pore Cleansing Brush. The sponge promises a porcelain finish when you use it to apply makeup. The brush has super fine bristles designed to clean out pores, best used in tandem with the B&Soap Black Block. I haven’t tried either, my daughter will probably get the brush.
Last but not least there’s the It’s My Eyelash Curler (Comb).
The “comb” is a detachable attachment. It supposedly prevents lashes from crumpling. It’s rather unstable and so far I haven’t been able to attach it properly. Worse comes to worse I can use this as a regular eyelash curler.
I got all 8 products featured here for a very reasonable P1,300! If you buy everything at their full SRP, the Althea Beauty Tool Box is worth P6,144 so I got a really great deal! Really loving the Pobling Mini Ion Applicator so far. The bad news is, it’s out of stock again! Oh but you never know… it was out of stock for a long time but my daily Althea stalking sessions paid off when I saw it become available.
If you’d like to try shopping at Althea, I have a 20% off voucher you can use HERE — maximum discount is P200, so you can make the most of it if you order P1,200+ worth of items. Discount vouchers are not applicable for Althea Boxes though because they’re already super cheap. I use them to buy items I like that are not in the boxes. 🙂
