I got to visit the Korean bakery Tous Les Jours for the first time during the Etude House Sweet Recipe Collection launch a little more than a week ago. When I went to Korea last year, I was unable to check TLJ out and there isn’t a branch near where I live or work. That said, I’m the loser who has never been to Tous Les Jours, haha!
Tous Les Jours Philippines flew in the master baker of Tous Les Jours Korea to do a cake demo, specifically, how to decorate the Rose Inspiration Fresh Cream Cake.
I recorded most of it on video. Don’t worry, he finished making the cake in about 5 minutes so it’s a really short and amazing video. My son exclaimed “He just used a small piece of plastic to do THAT!?”
Wow, he even put dew drops in the form of transparent jelly onto the rose cake’s surface! Tous Les Jours sold 600 of these cakes last Valentines. I’m not surprised. The Rose Inspiration Fresh Cream Cake costs only P498 and it’s a lot better than getting flowers which just wilt and die.
I also tried Tous Les Jours’ Macarons de Paris. There were so many flavors to choose from! The yellow ones are actually mango! They cost P28 a piece.
My favorite Macaron de Paris is definitely Green Tea. Tous Les Jours uses imported Korean matcha and you can taste it clearly with just a single bite. Crisp outside and chewy inside, yum! I want more!
Tous Les Jours is currently offering these special edition Graduation Bear Cakes for P598 a piece. Haha, maybe I should get my son one since he is graduating!
