Shiseido Snow Beauty Maquillage Powder

My most recent beauty indulgence is the Shiseido Snow Beauty Maquillage Powder I bought from SM Beauty Makati some 3 weeks ago. I first experienced it back in March when Shiseido’s Japanese Makeup Artist Naka Maeda used it on me during a makeup demo.

Shiseido Maquillage Snow Beauty PowderIt’s an indulgence because it costs approximately P4,000. The SRP is something like P3,998 so yeah… P4k. I knew back in March that this powder had a pretty hefty price tag but it had such a magical effect I decided I really really wanted it. This is actually the second edition of Shiseido Snow Beauty Maquillage Powder because it was just re-released last September.

Shiseido Maquillage Snow Beauty PowderThe box is huge for a face powder. It’s because it has this plastic sleeve and thick extra puff for night time use.

Shiseido Maquillage Snow Beauty PowderI so love the compact’s classy snowflake-inspired design.

Shiseido Maquillage Snow Beauty PowderInside the compact is the flatter, thinner daytime puff.

Shiseido Maquillage Snow Beauty PowderOMG I love how luxurious everything is about this product.

Shiseido Maquillage Snow Beauty PowderThe powder looks very white and has this delicate floral scent. It actually has the words “Snow Beauty” and some snowflakes embossed on the surface but my cam couldn’t quite capture them as the whiteness drowned them out.

Shiseido Maquillage Snow Beauty PowderI pat the powder on after I apply BB or CC Cream. According to the Maquillage website, you can use the powder day and night — as a finishing powder after your BB, CC, or foundation during the day and as a setting powder for your skin care regimen at night (it does come with day and night puffs you can use). I only use it during the day though because I’m not used to sleeping with face powder… no matter how good it is, I’m scared it might clog my pores while I sleep.

What I like about Shiseido Snow Beauty Maquillage Powder:

  • It’s sheer and lightweight so it feels nice on the face.
  • It has an instant brightening effect that makes your skin look luminous.
  • The semi-translucent powder doesn’t yield a dry looking mask-like finish.
  • Formulated with m-Tranexamic acid, regular use promotes brighter skin.
  • Evens out skin tone and enhances clarity.

Downside? The price! It’s really pricey for face powder but for me it’s worth it. I will definitely buy again when I run out.

The Shiseido Snow Beauty Maquillage Powder is available for a limited time at Shiseido stores in Glorietta 4, Greenbelt 5, Trinoma, Power Plant Mall, Alabang Town Center, Lucky Chinatown, Shangri-la Plaza Mall, Greenhills Shopping Center, Eastwood Mall, Century City Mall, Landmark Makati, SM Makati, SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, SM North Edsa, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Place Ermita, Robinsons Magnolia, Ayala Center Cebu, Abreeza, SM Cebu, and SM Clark.
