I received a gift from Starbucks the other day. I’m always excited when I come home to a surprise like this one.
Surprise! Two big mugs greeted me when I opened the box. These are actually limited edition mugs representing Cebu and Manila, the newest additions to Starbucks’ Collector Series City Mugs.

They’re Starbucks Relief Mugs. The term “relief” comes from the Latin verb “relevo” which means to raise. Relief is a sculptural technique wherein shapes carved on a surface stands out from the background.
There are 7 landmarks highlighted in the Cebu mug — Magellan’s Cross, Fort San Pedro, Basilica del Santo Nino, Halad Museum, Lapu Lapu Bridge, Carbon Market, and Mactan Shrine.

Here’s the Manila mug. It’s so nice! I can’t make up my mind which one I like better, lol.
Nine landmarks are on the Manila mug — Paco Park, Philippine Post Office, Liwasang Bonifacio, Luneta Park, Jeepney, National Museum, Palacio Del Gobernador, Manila City Hall, and Fort Santiago.
The Starbucks Relief Mugs will be available in all Starbucks stores for P550 each (P625 in NAIA 1) starting March 23, 2015. What do you think?
