Beauty products are my weakness. It’s no secret that I’m vain. I think one of the reasons is because I spent a lot of time being obese. I couldn’t wear anything decent because nothing fit, so the only other thing I could actually work on was my face (and to a certain extent my hair). I studied makeup and got into trying out all sorts of beauty products.
I was very excited when I got an invitation to the launch of The Balm Philippines. The Balm is a San Francisco-based cosmetic company which offers a complete line of make-up, skin care, hair care, and nail polish. Their products are talc-free, paraben-free, and cruelty-free. The Balm actually reminds me of another US beauty brand, Benefit. Like The Balm, Benefit also started out in San Francisco. Benefit has been in our country for a while now so this time, let’s welcome The Balm! 😀
One of the products The Balm is most known for the world over is INSTAIN, a long-wearing powder staining blush. It comes in 6 shades that are perfect for all seasons and skin tones.
INSTAIN promises to give you a fresh-off-the-runway look with minimal effort. Just look at how intense the color is! I shall review this product in a future post.
Meet Matt has 9 shades of matte eye shadows, all named Matt something — Matt McDonald, Matt Chung, lol. It’s pretty clever. 🙂
The products seem to come from a time warp straight from the 50’s pin-up girl era.
As I mentioned earlier, The Balm has hair products too. I’m curious about their Dry Shampoo. The last time I used one was when I gave birth so it’s been a while.
I’m really excited to try The Balm’s products! I love that they’re paraben-free and cruelty-free! Will post reviews as I go along.
Let’s stay connected:
