Before anything else I just want to say that this is my first post using my new Sony NEX-5N camera. Hehe. I got it just a couple of weeks ago because I ordered it from New York. But enough about that… I’ll talk about the cam in another post. :p
Since I’ve went on ahead and featured the Starbucks Planner 2012, I’ll continue on with some of the food and drinks Starbucks Philippines has in store for everyone this holiday season. 🙂
First of all there’s the Sun-dried Tomato and Basil Roll (P50, pictured above). It’s served with butter and jam. I like it because it has the taste and texture of foccacia bread but none of the oiliness. One roll is quite filling and it goes really well with a cup of hot coffee.
Glazed Ham with Apricot Spread on Multi-grain Bread (P140, pictured above) is my favorite savory offering this year. The ham tastes just like the honey ham we’d have at my mom’s house in the US during Christmas time. There’s yummy gooey mozzarella cheese too. This is actually just half a serving. I want to go back to Starbucks and have some more already. XD
This is a returning favorite from last Christmas… the White Chocolate Cranberry Cookie (P55 per piece, pictured above). I love cookies from Starbucks because they’re always nice and chewy, just the way I like ’em.
Chocolate Toffee Nut Loaf is another returning favorite (P55 per slice, P495 whole). I love the moist and rich chocolate cake topped with crunchy toffee bits. Other reruns include the Peppermint Brownie, Gingerbread Cookie, and Molten Chocolate Cake. You can check them out HERE.
Texas Chicken BBQ Wrap (P140, pictured above) is another new offering. Sweet, spicy, and smokey chicken is wrapped together with barbecue sauce, Texas-style salsa, grated cheese, sour cream in a soft and chewy flour tortilla. Yummy! 😀
Pecan Butterscotch Twirl (P85, pictured above) is something I’d describe as a super mega levelled up cinnamon roll with its load of vanilla cream, roasted pecans, butterscotch sauce, and white chocolate. Sugar rush! XD
There’s also the American classic S’mores (P70, pictured above). A buttery graham crust is filled with marshmallow cream and dark chocolate then topped with chocolate ganache. Bring on the campfire! Hehe.
A new addition to the yearly duo of Christmas beverages Toffee Nut Latte and Peppermint Mocha is going to be introduced this year… it’s the Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha. Espresso + steamed milk + white chocolate + whipped cream + cranberry drizzle + crystallized cranberry sugar = Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha. Whew! We had these tiny samplers but I still want that gingerbread drink they had some years back. XD
Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake (P110 per slice, P950 whole) also makes its debut this holiday season. A giant chocolate chip cookie serves as the base for chocolate mousse topped with mini chocolate chip cookies. It’s so cute. <3
Okay, this is the only photo in this post taken with my old cam the Sony Cybershot TX-1 for the sake of comparison. Triple Decker Cheesecake with Snickers (P130, pictured above) is a 3-layer cheesecake loaded with chunks of Snickers candy bar. This cake has got it all — peanuts, caramel, and chocolate. Sooo sinfully sweet. My favorite Starbucks holiday cake is still the Molten Chocolate Cake though. :p
These Christmas treats will be available in all Starbucks Philippines branches nationwide starting November 3, 2011. Do you have a returning favorite? Which of the new additions would you like to try? 😀
