Market Cafe buffet at Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila

I was invited to have lunch at Market Cafe at Hyatt Hotel and Casino sometime last week. I’ve actually had their dinner buffet some years ago but was unable to blog about it. The last time I was in Hyatt was back in August when we tried out Lili’s Dimsum Buffet with our high school friends.

Market Cafe’s buffet selection is quite modest compared to say… Sofitel’s Spiral, but there’s definitely more than enough to fill you up. There’s salmon and tuna sashimi…

…also several kinds of sushi.

I promptly headed over to where the raw meats were lined up. I opted for a Top Blade Steak.

You tell them how you want it done and they cook it in front of you. I like mine medium well. I also got some gravy to go with it. It was pretty good plus I liked the peppery taste of the gravy.

Aside from steak, there’s also fish like salmon belly and tanigue, pork, chicken, etc. all of which they can cook for you on the spot.

There are short order dishes too, like this Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs…

There were two kinds of pizza but I didn’t try any because I was saving my calorie consumption for meat. I don’t know why but I was feeling carnivorous that time, lol.

So I had this sliced roast beef instead, it’s rubbed with pepper and lots of herbs. Tender and tasty, I liked it a lot.

There were roasted baby potatoes beside it… so nice with a dollop of sour cream.

I think one of the main attractions of Market Cafe’s buffet is the unlimited sodas and local beers. You can drink all you can.

I moved on to dessert lest I get too full. I love the cookies in jars, my favorite was the star-shaped gingerbread cookies in the second jar. It went so well with my hot coffee.

The highlight of lunch was meeting Jane Go, the bubbly and super sweet blogger behind Sugar Spice and Everything Nice where I did my first ever guest post, lol. How could I say no to someone so nice? She really is the personification of sugar, spice, and everything nice! Thank you so much Jane and Hyatt Hotel & Casino for the lunch invitation! I really enjoyed the food, the drinks, and the company! 😀

If you’d like to try out Market Cafe at Hyatt, they have a weekday promo ongoing until the end of this month where lunch and dinner buffets cost only P1,290 net per head. Regular rates will be charged on weekends and holidays so that’s P1,800 net per head for lunch and P2,100 net per head for dinner.
