I was sent samples of Honest Tea, Honest Ade, and Honest Kids drinks for review some time ago (specifically before I left for the US).
Honest Tea drinks sprang from the owners’ search for a thirst-quenching drink that wasn’t too sweet back in the ’90s. Most beverages in the market were either too sugary and sweet or bland and tasteless. After brewing batches and batches of tea and mixing in fruit juices, Honest Tea was born. So now Honest Tea has officially arrived on Philippine shores.
Hubby and I first shared a bottle of Honest Tea Half & Half, which is organic tea with lemonade.
The best-tasting beverages of the bunch are definitely Honest Kids organic fruit juices.
We got them in four flavors: Tropical Tango Punch, Appley Ever After, Goodness Grapeness, and Very Berry Good Lemonade.
They come in convenient foil-packs that are good for a single serving. My kids split the drinks and took two each.
Honest Kids fruit juices are USDA-certified organic, contain no high fructose corn syrup, and are only 40 calories per pouch. They taste really nice and fruity too. My kids seemed to breathe in the juices, lol. If you ask me, personally I would choose to drink Honest Kids from all the Honest Tea products I’ve tried.
What I like about Honest Tea, Honest Ade, and Honest Kids:
- They are all USDA-certified organic.
- They are all relatively low in calories (the non-Kids drinks average at 70-100 calories per 500ml bottle).
- These drinks are all low in sugar, thirst-quenching, and refreshing.
- These are definitely more healthy compared to sodas and powdered drink mixes.
Downside? These beverages are kind of pricey. A 500ml bottle of Honest Tea costs P138 while Honest Ade costs P145. Honest Kids cost P68 per 200ml pack. For now, they are only available for order within Metro Manila. Call 913-4691 or e-mail jasslyn.tan@tanmegainnovations.com for more information.
