Bobbi Brown Philippines launched premiere make-up artist Bobbi Brown’s seventh book entitled Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful last October 18, 2012.
I love collecting books about make-up. Different artists have different techniques so I find myself getting exposed to a myriad of methods in achieving looks when I read. In fact, one of the first make-up books I bought back in 1999 was Bobbi Brown Beauty which I ordered from Amazon.com.
Anyhow, Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful was spurred by Bobbi Brown’s belief that everyone looks pretty even without make-up. BUT with the right tools and products, we can all look Pretty Powerful. The book features known personalities such as actress Blythe Danner (who also happens to be Gwyneth Paltrow’s mom).
Whether you’re African-American, Hispanic, or a mix of races, this book has definitely something for you. Bobbi Brown takes all ethnicities into consideration whenever she comes up with something.
Kai did a make-up demo of two Pretty Powerful looks. For the first look he used Bobbi Brown’s Pretty Powerful Uber Basics.
For the second look, Kai used Bobbi Brown’s Caviar & Oyster Eye Palette which also happens to be part of Bobbi Brown’s Holiday 2012 Collection.
Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful retails for P1,250 and is available at all Bobbi Brown counters (Rustans Makati, Rustans Shangri-la, and Essences at Power Plant Mall).
In the US, the book’s suggested retail price is US$29.99.
