Safe hands at SM with Safeguard

Handwashing has long been hailed as the single most effective preventive measure we can take when it comes to COVID-19. Wash your hands and you wash away the virus. This is because soap dissolves the fat membrane of the virus, rendering it inactive. Inactive viruses can’t cause any harm, so anything you touch after washing your hands will be safe. If every single person makes frequent handwashing a habit, it follows that we’ll all see fewer COVID-19 cases.

Leading anti-germicidal soap brand Safeguard has teamed up with SM Malls to bring us the Safe Hands at SM campaign. Safeguard has made its liquid hand soap available in restrooms of ALL SM malls across the country. Information about the 5 steps of handwashing have also been deployed in restrooms and high-traffic areas of the mall.
