Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipstick Review

Here’s something new… Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipstick! This product just hit the stores last April 1 — so it has barely been a week.

They’re sooo pretty! Have you seen them around? A tube of Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipstick costs only P299 so you can actually get 3 colors for under P1k.

I got three shades of Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipstick for review: Vivid 1 Scarlet Red, Vivid 2 Neon Pink, and Vivid 3 Violet Pink. There are a total of four shades so I missed just one — Vivid 4 Rosy Orange.

Here’s how Vivid 1 Scarlet Red looks outdoors under natural light. I find it too orange for my tastes.

Here’s how Vivid 2 Neon Pink looks outdoors under natural light.

Here’s Vivid 2 Neon Pink indoors under artificial light. This shade makes me feel Nicki Minaj-ish. I don’t think this color suits me.

Here’s how Vivid 3 Violet Pink looks outdoors under natural light. This one is my favorite among the three.

What I like about Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipsticks:

• They’re very pigmented! I love how they transform my lips from pale to vivid in a swipe. These lipsticks really live up to their name.
• They’re creamy and they go on smoothly.
• They’re super affordable at P299 per tube!
• They’re matte but not drying.
• Your lips remain colored even if you eat or drink.
• They’re easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.

Downside? Well it’s not really a downside but there are only four shades and they’re all attention-getting. These lipsticks are definitely not for someone who wants to blend in the crowd, lol. Since they’re so pigmented, mistakes like uneven application become more glaringly obvious.
