Bakit masarap maging Pilipino?
Even foreigners think so. Take Bryan, Shu Wang, Marcus, and Anna in the video above for example. They’ve adopted the Philippines as their very own. Anna in particular hails from Russia. She has lived in the Philippines for 7 years. She’s married to a Filipino and they have 2 children. Anna noted that Filipinos are expressive of their feelings and she relishes the warmth and love her Filipino family radiates. Filipinos are very loving and hospitable — ready to play host to people from all over the globe. It’s easy to adopt the Philippines as your home because you’re always welcome here without questions and without judgements. 🙂

For me though, it’s our indomitable spirit as a nation that makes being a Filipino so special. Nothing can daunt us come hell or high water. We were able to find light even when we were faced with the devastation of one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded on the planet. This innate ability to laugh, smile, and find humor in every situation is proof of the Filipinos’ resilience as a people. I find this to be our most amazing quality. No matter what obstacles our thrown our way, we can always pick ourselves up with a smile and continue moving forward. I find it so much easier to be happy here… truly. 🙂
