Tutto Domani at the New World Hotel Arcade in Makati City

Back in 1999, hubby and I were about to get married and we were scouting for furniture. He came across a furniture shop on the ground floor of New World Hotel named Domani. He liked the modern and unique designs that he saw… but alas the pieces were also very expensive so we didn’t buy from there.

June 2012. I got an invitation from one of my blog readers Ari to try out Tutto Domani, a coffee shop located on the ground floor of New World Hotel across Greenbelt. The first thing I asked Ari when I got there was if it’s the same Domani that sold furniture more than a decade ago. It is… but it has evolved into a coffee shop that sells furniture and collectibles. The place is pretty small but it’s bright, welcoming, and rather cozy.

Power Meal Platter at Tutto Domani
Upon Ari’s recommendation, I decided to order a Power Meal Platter (there are several kinds) which consists of your choice of pasta, Tortini Del Manzo (angus beef patty sandwich), side salad, potato chips, dessert of the day, and house iced tea. A set like this costs P350.

I love the potato chips on the side. 🙂

Saffron Cream Sauce & Mushroom Truffle Sea Salt Pasta at Tutto Domani
I got a small dish of Saffron Cream Sauce & Mushroom Truffle Sea Salt pasta with my Power Meal Platter. It’s soooo good. If I weren’t so worried about gaining back the weight I had lost I would’ve finished it all. A full sized order ala carte would cost P195.

Then I got half of a Tortini Del Manzo (angus beef patty sandwich). A juicy angus beef patty is covered with melted American cheese and topped with sliced onions and tomatoes. Yummy! Ari said it’s their bestselling sandwich.

Iced Mocha at Tutto Domani

Instead of the house iced tea that comes with the meal platter, Ari suggested that I try the Iced Mocha (P130, pictured above). It’s served in a tall carafe with a tiny matching shot cup. I was overwhelmed by the size but I actually finished it by drinking it little by little using the cup. It’s very good — not overly sweet like most of the mocha drinks I get to try. It tastes kind of like iced chocolate with just a little coffee.

Crepe Samurai at Tutto Domani
For dessert, I was served the Crepe Samurai (P65 if ordered ala carte, pictured above). It’s kind of like a cross between a souffle and a crepe. Topped with a thin layer of chewy crepe, it’s filled with mangoes in a delicate orange-flavored cream sauce.
Crounds at Tutto Domani

Ari also let me try one of Tutto Domani’s unique offerings — Crounds! Crounds are like little chewy pancake balls filled and topped with different flavors. Four pieces cost P60… which is definitely very reasonable! There’s cheese, caramel, chocolate, chorizo… I was only able to the sweet variants though. Cheese crounds are kind of like ensaymada. Everything was yummy! <3

Tutto Domani actually still sells furniture. You can pretty much order anything you see in the store — tables, chairs, shelves, etc. They currently specialize in furniture that are perfect for condos since they fold away neatly when not in use… pretty amazing really.
I will definitely be back for the delicious food and drink! A big thank you to Ari for inviting me! 😀
