If there’s one thing we love about Serenitea, it’s the snacks! Of all the milk tea places, they still serve the yummiest snacks.
My kids always order Chicken Chops (P70, pictured above). We love eating them with the basil leaves served on the side.
Oh but Serenitea’s Chicken Chops have spawned more flavorful evolutions for the new year. They come in three variants and they cost P120 per serving. This one is Western — it’s basically Chicken Chops with mustard and onions. Surprisingly very flavorful!
This one is Thai Pepper. I liked it best among the three. Chicken Chops are topped with lots of chili and garlic. It’s quite spicy so it would go well with a milk-based drink. It’s zesty and almost citrusy at the same time.
Formosa, the third variant, is Chicken Chops topped with diced tomatoes and basil. It’s got a very refreshing flavor as the combination of the tomatoes and basil have a cooling effect that provides a good contrast with the Chicken Chops. Hubby liked this best.
By now you’ve probably tried Serenitea’s Pepper Corn (P60, pictured above). We love ordering this too.
How about some amped up corn on the cob? We got to preview their cheese-flavored corn, roasted corn lightly battered and sprinkled with cheese powder. Pretty interesting. It’s kind of like the corn version of Potato Corner, haha.
If you want another way of having chicken, you can try Serenitea’s Chix-on-Sticks (P85 per serving, pictured above). They’re chicken wings stretched (they look scary if you ask me), skewered, and seasoned. There are three variants: Italian (rosemary and herbs), Mexican (Mexican spices, think tacos), and Oriental (cumin and spices). Crispy and tasty outside, tender inside. Think fried chicken wings with a twist.
Ooh, did you know that a couple of Serenitea branches (specifically Shangrila Plaza Mall and Congressional) will be offering cakes? There are several kinds — we got to sample two! First was Mango Cheesecake.
Green Tea-based chiffon cake is layered with green tea frosting and almond slivers. I liked Mango Cheesecake better as I found this to be on the dry side. I liked that it wasn’t overly sweet but I like my cakes rich and this didn’t strike me as rich.
Starting January 15, you can avail of this unique Helmet Umbrella from Serenitea. Just purchase P300 worth of products and then add P499 for your very own Serenitea Helmet Umbrella. It can protect you from both the sun and the rain plus it’s really limited since each branch will only be allotted 21 umbrellas each. Check it out above as modeled by The Pickiest Eater himself!
The Helmet Umbrella reminds me of Dark Helmet from the movie Spaceballs (Star Wars spoof). What do you think?
