Mad for Pizza — P280 per pizza, unlimited toppings!

One Saturday afternoon I was invited to try out a newly opened pizza place in Il Terrazzo — Mad for Pizza. You can’t miss it at the second floor because it’s so big and bright!

As I’ve mentioned earlier, the place is big and can accommodate a lot of people.

To whet our appetites, we were served Rock and Roll Nachos (P178, pictured above). Crunchy nacho chips are topped with ground beef, chopped onions and tomatoes, cheese sauce, and mayo. Yummy!

If you’re not a nachos person, there’s Disco Fries, the potato version of the above dish (P188, pictured above). It’s just as delicious.

It was kind of hot that afternoon and so I opted to have this gigantic glass of Frozen Ice Tea (P88, pictured above).

Before we go to the pizza, let me just share the most delicious non-pizza dish I tried at Mad for Pizza — Amboy “Angus Beef Belly in Adobo Sauce” (P198, pictured above). Oh my… it’s sooooo good. The meat is super tender and flavorful… it practically melts in your mouth. The salsa-topped garlic rice complements it nicely too. I would order this again in a heartbeat.

So let’s skip to the pizza now shall we? For P280, you get to create your own custom pizza with unlimited number of toppings. As long as the toppings can fit the crust, they will allow it. Here are the steps to creating your own pizza:

  1. Choose your dough: Classic, Herb, Garlic Parmesan, or Spinach
  2. Choose your sauce: House Pizza Sauce, Roasted Garlic Alfredo, Fra Diablo, BBQ
  3. Choose ALL the toppings you want. There are forty available choices:

    Cheeses – Mozzarella, Parmesan, Romano, Asiago, Cream, Cheddar, Blue, Feta, Provolone
    Veggies – Red Bell Pepper, Green Bell Pepper, Onion, Roasted Garlic, Sliced Mushroom, Spinach, Zucchini, Capers, Olive, Artichoke, Corn, Oven-Roasted Tomato
    Fruits – Pineapple
    Meats – Meatball Crumble, Italian Sausage, Grilled Chicken, Pepperoni, Steak Slices, Parma Ham, Ham, Bacon
    Seafood – Calamari, Shrimp, Clams, Mussels, Fish, Anchovy,
    Herbs – Basil, Rosemary, Oregano, Cilantro

For the toppings, I chose Mozzarella, Parmesan, and Cream Cheese. Then I added Steak Slices, Kielbasa (I don’t know why it’s not on the toppings list but it’s what I picked), Grilled Chicken, Mushroom, Tomato, Green Bell Pepper, Red Bell Pepper, and Roasted Garlic. They’re all the ingredients I was sure my kids would like.

OMG. It was so yummy. My kids said it’s the yummiest pizza they’ve ever had. Well, I customized it to our tastes! Incredible! It’s best eaten while it’s hot and freshly baked.

We were served desserts too — Panna Cotta (P88, pictured above left) and Banoffee Cobbler (P88, pictured above right). Both were pretty good!

Mad for Pizza was a pleasant surprise. I wasn’t expecting too much because everything from the crust to the toppings looked like something I could make at home but no, the pizza turned out to be really really good! P280 for all the toppings you want is a pretty good deal! You can also order pre-made pizza combinations for P250 each if you can’t make up your mind. If pizza is all you’re ordering, one order is good for one if you’re a really famished guy. Otherwise, if you’re having other food items, one pizza can be good for sharing between 2-3 people (it’s 6 slices).
