You read right. Happy Skin now has nail polish. Not just any nail polish, mind you. It’s Happy Skin Express Gel Polish. Honestly speaking I have neither the time nor patience to indulge in gel polish. It entails going to the nail salon to have everything done since you need their UV thingy to “cure” the polish. Worst of all, you have to go back to the nail salon to have them removed. With traffic the way it is, it’s just too much effort.
Happy Skin Express Gel Polish makes it easier to sport glossy and sophisticated nails that last. It cuts the entire process into 2 easy steps:
- Apply the Happy Skin Express Gel Polish 2-in-1 Base + Color (P249 each)
- Top it with Happy Skin Mirror Shine Top Coat (P249)
Happy Skin Express Gel Polish comes in six (6) neutral shades that can fit all skin tones: Achiever (Soft Pink), Dreamer (Light Dove Gray), Superstar (Metallic Gold), Artist (Nude Khaki), Influencer (Taupe), and Icon (Wine Red).
I opted for the shade called Achiever.
I chose to have a manicure. The very able nail technician of Maison by Nail Spa in Rockwell proceeded to give my hands and nails a good pampering.
The Express Gel Polish was applied first. We waited for it to dry a bit and then topped it with the Mirror Shine Top Coat. All you have to do at this point is wait for about 10-15 minutes for your nails to dry completely.
Here’s the finished product. I ended up taking this shade home. The best part of all is I don’t need to go back to have my polish removed. I can do it myself at home with regular nail polish remover. This entire line of nail polish has a vegan formulation yet it’s chip-resistant and fast drying. It’s free from the top 10 toxic ingredients — Toulene, DPB, Parabens, Camphor, Formaldehyde Resin, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide, Acetone, Lead, and Animal Ingredients.
People who know me know I don’t like nail polish. But you know what? I think I’ll keep this one.
