I received a mysterious dinner invitation a few weeks ago. All I knew was it was going to take place at The Wine Museum in Pasay City. An exciting top secret beauty product was going to be revealed, and I was told that it was already making waves abroad. Apparently, it would greatly benefit mothers like me who had already gone through the motions of getting pregnant and giving birth as it specifically addresses stretch marks.
I had never been to The Wine Museum prior to that evening so everything was new to me. I could tell from the setup that we were going to have wine-tasting over dinner.
I know absolutely nothing about wines but we were furnished with notes and a pencil to help us take in the night’s learnings.
Mr. Ronnie Joseph, owner of The Wine Museum, was our host for the night. He guided us through each wine and each course. The pairings were perfect! I think it’s the first time I really enjoyed drinking wine. We were treated to a collection of fine new world wines from Chile (I believe the brand was Montes) and they were really good! I had to exert all my self-control stop myself from finishing all the glasses because I’m allergic to alcohol.
Dinner was basically girl bonding time with beauty queen Precious Lara Quigaman, the brand ambassador of the mystery product we had yet to see. I don’t exaggerate when I say that Lara is one of the nicest and most down-to-earth personalities I have ever talked to. Before the night was over we were all sharing everything from childbirth and breastfeeding experiences, thoughts about married life, and beauty concerns. I super super love Lara. I thought I was huge when I was 9 months pregnant with my firstborn but Lara gamely showed us her photo when she was at that stage. We all couldn’t believe she gained so much weight because she’s already so slim and svelte 8 months after giving birth.
Dinner consisted of a mix of cuisines. We had Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Callos, Paella, and a few other dishes that were perfect matches for the wines we were tasting.
I prefer white wine to red wine but surprisingly I really loved the fruity Montes Pinot Noir.
At last it was time for the big reveal. Each of us was given a gift.
We were all too excited to see what was inside. It turned out to be Bio-Oil! It’s the #1 anti-stretch marks product in 16 countries, including the UK! In fact, it’s the product most recommended by UK pharmacists to help reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks… and we all got first dibs on this wonder product!
Lara has been using Bio-Oil for a few months now. She said it has helped lighten and improve the appearance of stretch marks on her tummy. Since Bio-Oil also has anti-aging and moisturizing properties, she has replaced her facial moisturizer with it too. It’s really a heavy duty all-around beauty product.
The Bio-Oil formulation is a combination of plant extracts and vitamins suspended in an oil base. Key ingredients include Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Calendula Oil, Lavender Oil, Rosemary Oil, Chamomile Oil, and Purcellin Oil — all of which have regenerative and soothing benefits to the skin. Bio-Oil has been assessed and deemed safe for use even by pregnant women.
I tried a bit of the product over dinner and I was amazed at how quickly it was absorbed into the skin. It was gone in seconds — no greasy feeling, no stickiness, and it has such a mild natural scent you almost don’t smell it after application. It just leaves skin soft and smooth. Lara told us that a little product goes a long way so a 60ml bottle like this can easily last for months. You can use it all over the body, even on the face. It can easily be incorporated into your existing skin care regimen of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing with Bio-Oil taking the place of your usual moisturizer.
I would like to thank Bio-Oil for a memorable night of good food, good wine, and good company. My busy schedule doesn’t really leave me with too much free time for bonding with girlfriends so this was a very welcome change of pace.
Bio-Oil is available at all leading drugstores nationwide at P495 per 60ml bottle. It’s highly recommended for busy, multi-tasking women like Lara (and like me, lol) since it pretty much does everything from lightening scars and stretch marks to moisturizing and rejuvenating the skin. 🙂
