I got manga-fied courtesy of L’oreal Miss Manga Mascara quite some time ago and if you’re following me on Facebook and/or Instagram, you’ve probably seen photos, lol!
L’oreal Miss Manga Mascara (P599) / L’oreal Mat Magique BB Veil (P399)
Anyhow I went to the L’oreal Miss Manga Mascara launch in Whitespace. L’oreal also introduced the L’oreal Mat Magique BB Veil, an ultra lightweight pressed powder which absorbs oil so it’s good for women with oily skin. It promises a poreless matte finish that lasts for 12 hours.
There were hair styling stations set up.
They initially curled my hair but in the end it was such a hot day I asked them to do the Miss Manga hairstyle instead so my hair would be up and away from my neck.
Janeena Chan hosted the event.
She was decked out as Miss Manga.
Anyhow the actual Miss Manga made an appearance too!

L’oreal Miss Manga False Lash Waterproof Mascara (P599)
So anyway, I took the L’oreal Miss Manga Mascara for a spin soon after. In fact, I brought it along on my recent trip to Singapore and Malaysia because I was expecting to sweat a lot. This is waterproof so it was my mascara of choice for the trip.
L’oreal Miss Manga Mascara uses L’oreal’s patented conic arched brush to give lashes extra volume, length, lift, and curl.
This is how you hold the brush when applying the mascara on your upper lashes.
These are my before and after shots. I used L’oreal Miss Manga Mascara without an eyelash curler.

What I like about L’oreal Miss Manga False Lash Waterproof Mascara:
- It lengthens, lifts, and defines lashes even without an eyelash curler.
- It goes on smoothly and doesn’t clump.
- It’s lightweight so your lashes don’t feel heavy, it’s as if you’re not wearing mascara.
- It stays and stays until you take it off! Even if I was walking outdoors under the hot sun and sweating like there’s no tomorrow in Singapore and Malaysia, it never run, streak, or smudge.
Downside? It can be a bit hard to remove but I can manage without much trouble when I use Laneige Eye and Lip Makeup Remover.
L’oreal Miss Manga Mascara is available for P599 at leading department stores nationwide. It will be sold at a special introductory price of P500 for the whole month of May.
