Shampoo testing the L’oreal Keratin Steam Bond Service

Every time I get my hair rebonded I always do a shampoo test, meaning I monitor the condition of my straightened hair after I wash and dry it by myself at home. We all know that when we step out of a salon our hair is picture perfect… but it doesn’t always follow that it would still be great after we shampoo away the styling and the results of professional blow drying.

Okay so I took this photo today, Feb. 5. I had the Steam Bond Service last Jan. 29. I had maybe 2-3 inches trimmed off a couple of days ago since my hair ends were extremely dry because of all the coloring and straightening I had previously exposed it to.

Observations:

  • It’s still super straight.
  • The upper part of my hair is very soft and smooth since it has been exposed to less chemical treatments.
  • The ends are more dry so I trimmed off 2-3 inches.
  • I had an extremely high layered cut prior to the steam bond and trim so the ends look kind of jagged.

I’m quite satisfied with the smooth, straight, and shiny result.

Hair falls down naturally from the top of the head.

Here’s how I wear my hair these days.

Overall I think the L’oreal Professionnel Keratin Steam Bond Service passed my shampoo test. Just remember that once you have your hair straightened you need to condition it every single day or else it would be very hard to comb through.

What do you think?
