Hi everyone! I’m back from Malaysia! Seriously, I haven’t touched my laptop in over 5 days. Our schedule was so full we’d wake up at around 6am and get back to the hotel close to midnight. Will tell you more about our trip in another post.
For today, I thought I’d share something of a milestone. I never thought I’d see the day when my kids would utter those six little words… “Mommy, can I have a cellphone?”. I have a teen and a tween — and they both said it at the same time… so it’s two (2) cellphones! I figured it’s about time because ever since our helper left, yaya has been doing stuff around the house. I used to rely on yaya‘s cellphone to determine when it was already okay to pick up the kids. Luckily, I held on to some review units given to me so my kids ended up with Asus cellphones.
More than the cost of the phone, a prime consideration is how much it costs to actually sustain it monthly. I got them SUN Super Loaded SIM cards priced at P35 each. At P35, you get free unlimited SUN calls, all net texts, and Facebook access for one whole day. Then I got a SUN Super Loaded TU P150 card to match. With the SUN Super Loaded TU P150 you get the following for 30 days:
- Unlimited SUN texts
- 5 hours SUN Calls
- Free Facebook
- Nonstop Chat (Viber, WhatsApp, WeChat, FB Messenger, LINE)
- Spinnr access
It’s really the most cost-efficient choice because you can’t get all that for P150 from other networks. The kids and I have been using SUN to communicate for the past 2 months and it’s been great! The load inclusions are more than enough for our needs. As long as their load is valid, we’ll be connected due to the sheer number of communication options — call, text, FB, Viber, etc.
My daughter told me most of her classmates are using SUN too so it’s super perfect.
When she wants to play Pokemon Go on the road, I just turn on my mobile hotspot because my SUN Postpaid Plan includes data. 🙂
