The first and last time I ate at Stackers Burger Cafe was at their Eastwood City branch back in 2009. I don’t know why I never went back, but it’s probably because we don’t really go to Eastwood City much. Years later, hubby, the kids, and I found ourselves at Stackers Burger Cafe in Newport Mall at Resorts World. The place was packed so I didn’t bother taking photos of the surroundings. It was pure bedlam, we were lucky a family vacated one of the tables so we had seats.
Since I’m trying to cut down on calories, I ordered Barbecue Burger Bowl (P158, pictured above). A quarter pound beef patty is served on a bed of salad greens with cherry tomatoes, sweet corn kernels, crispy fried wonton strips, and grated cheese. It’s already drizzled with barbecue sauce but they give you ranch dressing on the side anyway. I liked it, although I didn’t feel full afterwards, lol. In fact, I was hungry an hour after having it.
My hubby had the Double Stacker (P161, pictured above) — two thick and juicy beef patties with onions, lettuce, and tomatoes. The patties looked really inviting.
Our son opted for Jack Burger (P228, pictured above). It’s got gooey melted Monterey Jack cheese on top of a juicy burger patty, bacon strips, mushrooms, lettuce and ranch dressing. He liked it a lot and wolfed down the whole thing. This was what I ordered the first time I ate at Stackers in Eastwood. It’s really really good. I was kind of wishing I ordered it instead of the salad.
Our daughter settled for Fisher’s Burger (P148, pictured above). It’s a simple and straightforward burger with a crispy battered cream dory fillet sandwiched in between buns. It’s normally served with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions like the normal Stackers Burgers but my daughter just wanted the fish and none of the veggies. They obliged, hence my daughters super simple burger. She doesn’t even want dressing, lol.
The kids each had a milkshake too. Our daughter chose Vanilla while our son had Strawberry. Each cost P95. They must be good because both kids finished them to the last drop.
We had a nice meal overall at Stackers Burger Cafe. I highly recommend the Monterey Jack Burger if you’re eating there for the first time. They have chicken, sausages, and pasta in the menu too in case you’re not the burger type of person (but of course it’s their burger that’s the must try). I find it strange that they have no Makati outlet though.
