Lancome Show Manila by Alber Elbaz!

I went to see the Lancome Show Manila by Alber Elbaz last June 22, 2013. Alber Elbaz is a talented designer from Morocco who has worked for the French fashion house Lanvin since 2001.

The Lancome boutique in Greenbelt 5 was dressed to the nines for a fashion show theme complete with a red carpet and velvet ropes.

Alber Elbaz is known for his lavish fashion shows and so Lancome’s new collection exudes the same vibe.
I love how the Alber Elbaz-themed packaging is presented.

The palettes are so so so cute! I wanted to take them all home, lol!

Each one is very much catwalk-inspired so you get glitters and impactful colors for a dramatic effect.

There was a cupcake-decorating activity.

I got to design my own cupcake! I topped it with frosting, fondant toppers, and gummy bears.

Then I placed it on the mini catwalk for picture-taking, lol!

The most impressive object for me that day was this ginormous pop-up Lancome x Alber Elbaz book. See those gowns that he designed?

The gowns were adapted as mascara tube designs! How ingenious is that? Jeez I want a book just like this one, unfortunately it’s not for sale…

Like I said, it’s a ginormous book. The entire book was hand-drawn by Alber Elbaz. This is the first time he has ever collaborated with any brand so it’s a pretty big deal. I was told Alber Elbaz isn’t a techie person so he does everything the old-fashioned way.

Sooooo cute! Mascara tubes flaunting it on the catwalk! 😀
Even if I could not buy the book, I was at least able to take home a set of those cute mascaras and my cupcake.

Thank you Lancome Philippines for this super cute mascara set! Can’t wait to try them out! Mascara happens to be one of my must-have beauty essentials (and I wear minimal makeup lol) so it couldn’t be more perfect! These mascaras are sold individually for P1,895 a piece.
Visit any Lancome boutique or counter (Greenbelt 5, Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Shangri-la, Rustan’s Alabang, Essences Power Plant Mall) and catch Lancome Show Manila by Alber Elbaz!
