Teddy’s Bigger Burgers in Shangrila Mall!

I love burgers. The mere thought of eating delicious burgers always gets me excited. Now the newest burger place to arrive at our shores from the US (Hawaii to be exact) is Teddy’s Bigger Burgers. The name alone conjures up pictures of towering burgers with big juicy patties… waaah I’m really making myself hungry.

I totally missed Teddy’s Bigger Burgers’ Philippine launch when they opened their first store in Greenbelt. The event was held on a weekday afternoon and I had to fetch my kids from school so I wasn’t able to make it. Luckily, the opening event for Teddy’s Bigger Burgers’ second store in Shangri-la Plaza Mall was held on a Saturday so I was able to go check it out. Incidentally, Teddy’s Bigger Burgers has been hailed as #1 in Hawaii.

You can have the patty’s doneness tailored to your preference. If you don’t specify the doneness, you will get the default Medium Well patty. We always prefer our meats Medium Well so it’s all good.

Lilikoi Iced Tea and Lemonade (Both P65 for 22 oz. and P99 for 32 oz.)

For our drinks, hubby and I ordered Lilikoi Iced Tea and Lemonade. Lilikoi Iced Tea has a sweet and peachy taste while the Lemonade is made with fresh lemons. The regular drink is pretty big at 22 oz.

Gaucho (P228)

Hubby and I ordered one quarter-pounder burger each. He had the Gaucho, which had bacon, cheddar cheese, barbecue sauce, bacon, and a big onion ring. He liked it, saying that the burger patty was surprisingly succulent yet not greasy.

The hamburger buns they use at Teddy’s Bigger Burgers are made of potato instead of regular flour. The potato bun has a hint of sweetness. It’s fluffy and packed at the same time. One burger order is quite filling at Teddy’s.

Cheezy Bacon Fries (P89 Small / P129 Large)

We ordered some fries to go with our burgers. I was surprised at how big the Small serving of Cheezy Bacon Fries was. This will definitely be a hit with kids as the crispy fries are generously drizzled with tangy cheese sauce and sprinkled with lots of bacon bits.

Flavored Fries (P69 Small / P109 Large)

We also tried their Flavored Fries, you have a choice among Original, Teriyaki, Spicy, or Garlic. I chose Garlic because well, I super love garlic! These are crispy and surprisingly not oily, although the garlic taste is not very pronounced.

Bae-con Me Crazy (P268)

I had the Bae-con Me Crazy burger which had bacon, cream cheese, grilled onions, lettuce with special sauce, and truffle honey. It’s SOOOO good. The aroma of truffles made it so much more special!

My burger patty was perfectly grilled pink, done medium well. Love it! My favorite part of the burger is definitely the extender-free lean and tender patty. OMG I want to go back for more. It’s so so sooo good. I can’t stop raving about it.

Lettuce-wrapped Burger

If you’re watching your weight (or your health) you can skip the bun and opt for a lettuce-wrapped burger. It costs the same.

We’ll definitely go back to Teddy’s with the kids!
