Whenever I go abroad, one of the places I enjoy visiting is surprise… the drugstore. There are way too many interesting products in a drugstore especially where beauty and personal care are concerned. Prior to Watsons opening in the Philippines it was one of my favorite haunts in Hong Kong — that and Mannings. When I’m in the US, I like browsing through CVS and Walgreens.
Lucky for me I don’t have to go abroad to get access to international drugstore beauty and personal care finds because now we have stellamela, an online store which carries stuff you would usually find in drugstores abroad.
Stellamela recently sent me a beauty bundle so I can sample what they’re offering. So anyway here’s a closer look at what I got…
Rimmel Glam Eyes Quad Eye Shadow in Dark Signature (P315)
Milani Haute Flash Lip Gloss in Star Flash (P270)
Styli-Style Blush Blotting Papers in Smitten (P265)
I was definitely most curious about the Styli-Style Blush Blotting Papers. It’s the first time I’ve seen such a product.
It’s definitely paper — paper with a layer of shimmery metallic pink powder.
When I was a little girl I remember seeing my aunts carry around and use a product called Papier Poudre which were basically blotting papers with face powder which you could use to freshen up your face. A sheet of Styli-Style Blush Blotting Paper is about the same size as a sheet of Papier Poudre.
Wow it’s surprisingly pigmented. I can imagine this as blush or maybe eye shadow but not something that I’d pat on my forehead or nose since it’s so pink.
I can’t get over the pigmentation. Yes, you can use a brush to apply the powder because I don’t think I want my entire face to turn pink by using it as blotting paper.
Anyhow I’ll be doing a pocket review of the Haute Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Lipgloss in Star Flash in this post.
The Stellamela website describes Star Flash as a shimmery lilac shade. I love how shiny and sparkly it is!
And wow, if I was impressed by the pigmentation of Styli-Style, I was even more impressed by the full coverage pigmentation of Haute Flash! It’s solid in terms of color, unlike lipglosses I’ve tried in the past.
Here’s Haute Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Lipgloss in Star Flash when applied on the lips. There are several shades available, I think this one suits lighter complexions.
Wow, I really like this! I’m not really a lipgloss type of person because I find most of them sticky and kind of hard to apply but this one glides smoothly on your lips and gives you full coverage color plus shine.
What I like about Haute Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Lipgloss:
- It’s not stick and it’s very easy to apply since it practically glides on your lips.
- You can use it alone because the pigmentation is just wicked! It covers your lips completely with rich color and incredible shimmer.
- It’s available in six different shades.
- It’s super affordable at P270 per tube.
- I love it, I honestly don’t have anything negative to say about it.
