I love how there are so many yummy and convenient imported food/drink items are becoming available here in the Philippines. For today, I’m sharing my Starbucks VIA Iced Coffee experience.

Oh yes! You can easily make Starbucks Iced Coffee at home with this convenient 2-in-1 mix made from 100% Latin American arabica beans and sweetened with a touch of cane sugar. Each pack containing 5 sachets is sold for P250 at all Starbucks stores.

The problem I usually have with iced coffee, well not problem, more of an inconvenience, is that I always need hot water to “melt” the coffee first before adding ice. Surprisingly, according to package directions, you can mix the Starbucks VIA Iced Coffee powder into cold water or milk. Now that’s convenience! I used a measuring cup to make it because I needed 240ml of either water or milk and I wanted to be exact.

I tried mixing it into ice cold semi-skimmed milk the first time. The powder is so fine it instantly dissolved upon contact with liquid.

Starbucks VIA Iced Coffee review

It’s very easy to come up with the perfect cup of iced coffee with the Starbucks VIA Iced Coffee Mix. I actually prefer the water vs. the milk version though because it’s lighter and more refreshing, which is how I like my drinks this summer. Of all the Starbucks VIA Ready Brew variants I’ve tried, I actually like this one best because it tastes just right — not bitter, not too sweet… just really good. It comes out to P50 per serving so it’s a more affordable way to enjoy icy cold Starbucks coffee. 🙂

Starbucks VIA Iced Coffee is available at all Starbucks stores for P250 per pack of 5 sachets.
