Are you a beauty enthusiast? A Shiseido user or fan? Maybe all of the above? This Friday, the Shiseido International Beauty Fair kicks off at the SM Megamall Atrium.
Get the chance to learn secrets to beautiful skin and applying make up the Japanese way under Momoko Ishibashi of Shiseido Japan. There will be two sessions each day on makeup techniques and skincare consultation from March 21 to 23, 2014:
- Session 1: 2:00PM to 3:30PM
- Session 2: 5:00PM to 6:30PM
There will be 40 seats per session on a first come, first served basis. There will be free beauty tutorials, makeovers, nail art, and product samples! Complete the 3-day workshop and get a Shiseido Certificate!
I got a chance to spend an afternoon with Momoko (who we refer to as “Momo-san”) one Saturday afternoon at the Picasso Boutique Hotel in Makati.
Momo-san taught us everything, starting with how to effectively remove makeup without stressing your skin. She used rectangular cotton pads (same type that I use, yay!) with Shiseido makeup remover, methodically wiping off stubborn makeup.
Momo-san taught us a 2-minute “Slim Trim Defined Beauty” facial contouring massage. Before you start this, you must have already cleansed, toned, applied serum, and moisturized.
Step 1: Place the web between your thumb and forefinger against the curve of your chin. Swipe the area under your face line (where fat tends to accumulate) from your chin up to your ears. Repeat 6 times.
Step 2: With hands lightly clenched, use the knuckles at the mid-finger to lift up underneath your cheeks. Repeat 6 times.
Step 3: With four fingers fitted flush against your face, pull from the sides of your jaw upward to the temples. Repeat 6 times.
Step 4: With three fingers, stroke your eyebrow from the center of your face toward the temples, applying light pressure. Repeat 6 times.
Step 5: With your middle finger, press the hollow below the starting point of your eyebrows using the weight of your head (approx. 4 secs.) then lift with three fingers, lift from the inner corner of your eyes toward your temples along the bone under your eyes. Repeat 6 times.
Step 6: Fitting both palms flush against your face from the tip of your chin toward your temples, pull up the entire cheek. As the final step, use the fleshy part of your palm at the base of your thumb to press your temples, using the weight of your head (approx. 3 secs.).
After the facial massage, Momo-san showed us how to apply makeup for a fresh and natural look. You can experience a live demo at the Shiseido International Beauty Fair at the SM Megamall Atrium starting this Friday.
And then there was the surprise of the day… each of us who attended was awarded a P10,000 Shiseido GC so we could shop that same day at the loft area of the suite! I shall share a chronicle of my shopping spree in another post! I could hardly believe my eyes! O_O
Don’t forget to check out the Shiseido International Beauty Fair starting this Friday at the SM Megamall Atrium! 😀
