Fairydrops Platinum Mascara Film Type T2 Review

I know, I know… I really should fast track my mascara reviews considering I have a lot more of them waiting in the wings. It’s just that I find it kind of wasteful having several tubes open all at the same time. The last time I reviewed a mascara was back in January. I liked that particular one so much I’ve been using it for 6 straight months.

Anyhow, today’s mascara is Fairydrops Platinum Mascara Film Type T2. Don’t you just love the luxe gold packaging? I do, I almost couldn’t bring myself to take the mascara out of the box.

I love how the Japanese package everything.

Like the other Fairydrops Platinum Mascara variant I reviewed, this one has their trademark curved brush with three “balls”designed to grip your lashes and then thicken, lengthen, and curl them.

Here’s a closer look. Fairydrops Platinum Mascara Film Type 2 only comes in Black.

So anyway, here’s a demo, because photos speak louder than anything I could type, lol. This is a comparison of my bare lashes with my lashes after 2 coats of Fairydrops Platinum Mascara Film Type T2. I didn’t use an eyelash curler, I just used the brush to lift my lashes.

These are my lashes coated with Fairydrops Platinum Mascara Film Type 2, photos show the difference when you don’t use an eyelash curler (above left) and when you do use an eyelash curler (above right).

What I like about Fairydrops Platinum Mascara Film Type T2:

  • It effectively lengthens, defines, and lifts my lashes.
  • It doesn’t feel heavy… some mascaras feel so heavy I feel like I have falsies on. This one doesn’t feel like you have anything on.
  • It’s easy to remove. It actually comes off with just water although I still like using either a cleansing oil or eye makeup remover just to be sure. I’m OC when it comes to makeup removal.
  • When completely dry, it doesn’t smear or smudge.

Downside? The price. It’s quite costly at P1,195. Product-wise there is no downside though. Fairydrops mascaras do go on sale from time to time though. Just remember this is just water-resistant and not waterproof because there is waterproof variant if that’s what you need. Fairydrops Platinum Mascara Film Type 2 is available at all Beauty Bar outlets nationwide.
